Beth Bartel

Beth Bartel is an I-News intern and a master’s degree candidate in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Colorado. Bartel’s interests include environmental reporting, data visualization, and multimedia approaches to journalism including photography, video and interactive web graphics. With a background in Earth science, Bartel worked for a science support facility as a field engineer before beginning a career in journalism. She received bachelor’s degrees in geology and in Spanish from Whitman College and a master’s degree in geophysics from Indiana University.
